Trump de Force

A POTUS must be in command of vast knowledge about a broad range of topics, issues and situations. Further, a POTUS must see the big picture and explain it to the rest of us.

A POTUS must have the executive talent to zoom in on what's deeply important, separating it from the superficially important. A POTUS must see what others don't, either because they're hidebound or because the POTUS has the ultimate executive gift: the ability to see over the horizon, even around corners.

Lastly, a POTUS must be able to converse about all this and more, while not getting flummoxed or knocked off their game, even with hostile interlocutors, whether journalists or opponents.

Deep interviews are the best way to judge whether POTUS candidates possess these exceedingly rare gifts, whether they have the vast knowledge, expansive talents and intestinal fortitude.

President Donald J. Trump just delivered a tour de force of such interviews over the past few weeks. They are astonishing in their depth, breadth and insight. We've literally never seen a presidential candidate submit to such extensive and detailed interrogation as Trump has with these extraordinary interlocutors.

It goes without saying that VEEP Harris has done nothing of this sort. Hell, she's been interviewed perhaps 1% as much as her exceptionally capable opponent, that meager showing consisting only of her 16-min powder-puff interview on the execrable CNN.

Her problem: "There's no there there" for a woman from the no there there town of Oakland. She lacks vast knowledge about the broad range of topics, issues and situations required. Nor does she see the big picture, let alone be capable of explaining it, beyond reading words written for her. Least of all can she converse about serious subjects, even with friendly interlocutors, let alone hostile ones. She can't handle journalists; She'll never handle the president of China or the Ayatollah of Iran.

That brings us to Donald Trump's Tour de Force. Let's call it the Trump de Force.

7 Tour Stops

1. Adin Ross interviewed Donald Trump in a HUGE live stream.

Baron Trump told his dad that Adin Ross has a huge following for his streams and that they would get along famously. They did. Millions upon millions of young people watched the stream.

Oh yeah, Adin Ross gave Donald Trump a Cybertruck wrapped in iconic Trump imagery. Then they did a dance in front of said Cybertruck. This broke the internet.

2. Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump live on X for 2-hours.

This interview is now said to have gotten 1-billion views across all platforms in the three weeks since they did it live. Trump & Musk are two of the most amazing achievers in American history, in world history. To hear them chop it up is a fortuitous experience.

3. Theo Von

The bayou comedian went to places where no president has gone before in this hour-long convo. For instance, they discussed drugs & addiction FOR REAL. It has amassed 13 million views on Youtube alone in the two weeks since it dropped.

4. Lex Fridman podcast

The MIT genius turned podcaster used his cyborgian style to take Donald Trump to places where most people aren't smart or brave enough to go.

This included Trump's view of spirituality in the wake of getting shot. Characteristically, Trump pivoted his answer away from himself and his own spirituality towards America in general. America needs, he said, "more religion." He's right.

They also discussed cryptocurrency at length, a topic about which Donald Trump is quite comfortable and supportive. Meanwhile, VEEP Harris infamously said about AI: "It's two letters that mean Artificial Intelligence." Speaking of intelligence, she doesn't have nearly enough.

Fridman asked Trump about Jeffery Epstein, the first time I've ever heard Trump on the infamous Epstein. Trump replied that Epstein was a good salesman, had great assets, including islands, and was a hail-fellow-well-met. However, Trump stated he "never went to the island, fortunately."

Fridman asked Trump if he'd release any Federal Epstein files. Trump first said he'd look at it, and then came around a few minutes later and said he would release the files, along with the JFK assassination and Trump attempted assassination files. Hell yeah!

5. Tulsi Gabbard at a Wisconsin town hall

Tulsi asked Trump questions directly, including about IVF and much more. Plus, he took many questions from voters, none pre-scripted. Col. Gabbard is most convincing when she puts her Army hat on and speaks about Trump's greatness as a Commander-in-Chief, versus VEEP Harris's deadly incompetence.

6. Harrisburg Townhall moderated by Hannity earlier this week.

There was massive energy in the hockey rink where they held this, the same rink where Slap Shot was filmed. Trump's directness in answering voter questions is quite striking.

7. NY Economic Club

Two days ago, Donald Trump walked into a big expensive room in Manhattan full of died-in-the-wool free-traders and pitched them on a Trump Tariff, and at least partially won them over. That's like selling Red Sox fans on the Yankees. That's like informing the Masters of the Universe, "You know, you've been wrong all these years", and a ballroom of guys-who-are-never-wrong replying "He might be right." Big League!

Overall, he demonstrated immense depth and breadth, with absolute command of a vast set of domains and details. Plus, he is fortified by having done it before, and done it better than its ever been done by a first term president, let alone a president beset by a deranged horde of domestic enemies.

Now, he has the benefit of experience, while still retaining his heterodox thinking and CEO's instincts. For instance, he now has many of we old-school free-traders open to the Trump Tariff. Wow.

Conclusion

Whew, I'm wore out just assembling this compendium. President Trump? He's not tired at all. May the Lord bless him and keep him!
